Cook General Contracting is excited to announce their recent alliance with Rabun County Board of Commissioners on the renovation and upgrading of the Rabun Recreation Center in Clayton, GA. The Board of Commissioners realized the importance of updating the existing facility for the well-being of the residents who utilize the facility throughout the year.
The project consists of removing the existing entrance canopy, restrooms, bleachers, and equipment. Cook will be focused on improving the quality of the facility through providing a new multi-purpose gym floor for volleyball, pickle ball, and basketball. Additional renovation work will include new home and visitor locker rooms, completely new concessions stands and restrooms, scoreboards, front entrance, office and lobby for the facility.
Company President Geoff Cook stated “that Cook is excited to be a part of our next municipal project that allows us to pour into the larger community. Opportunities for us to develop and restore facilities that impact the youth in the community truly are at the heart of our company mission”.
Work on the complete 15,000 square feet interior remodel of the Gymnasium with new basketball courts, locker and restrooms, exercise rooms and meeting facilities is set to begin in August of 2017 with anticipated completion of this project in Winter, 2018.
