Dr. Mike Martin reached out to Cook General Contracting back in April 2016 to start the discussion of how to modify his existing location to accommodate growth for his business. He was specifically inquiring about how to double the service area of their existing location to bring on a new partner — his son. Dr. Ben Martin recently joined his father after completing dental school and is poised to bring new life to this reputable area dental practice. By adding new services such as implant dentistry, sedation dentistry, root canal therapy and Invisalign; Mundy Mill Dental is not only expanding their location but expanding their services to the new and old clients. That is where Cook General’s services where needed.
Adding new procedures to the list of things the practiced offered required more space and areas for treatment. Our team of professionals worked with Dr. Mike Martin to figure out how to strategically expand the office to include patient chairs and examine rooms with new dental equipment designed to better fit their client’s needs.
The Project – Interior
We started the process with determining how to expand the space from the existing building by adding new areas to the back. We cleared out the trees behind the office to accommodate for the new equipment that needed to be brought into to offer the additional services. New work to the existing interior was completed that included expansion of office space, redesign of the existing interior, and updated lighting and paint for better office esthetics.
The Project – Exterior
In addition to working to expand the internal space, Dr. Martin wanted to not only bring in new life to the daily operations but the building itself. So we included updating the existing exterior of the building by adding new paint and accent finished to the project. We also worked with our local sign partner Pinnacle Custom Signs to provide an updated and more aesthetically pleasing sign that included not only Dr. Mike Martin, DDS but added Dr. Ben Martin, DMD. Our construction superintendent, Eddie Gannon, built out a sign base with greater visibility to the road that coordinated color and style through stone base material and custom post signs to get ready for the new double sided routed sign install by the company.
The Client
We are excited to see the future growth of this practice as the true family run operations provide better services to the clients and help to improve the quality of health for their community.
